In 2002, the Smith School of Business of the University of Maryland in the United States cooperated with the university of international business and economics (UIBE) to launch the EMBA (Advanced MBA Program), which was approved by the Ministry of Education of China and the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council. This project was officially launched in Beijing in 2003, which is an exciting milestone and marks the entry of Smith College into the China market. The success of the Beijing project is the driving force for the further development of Smith Business School in China. In June 2005, Smith EMBA Shanghai Project was officially launched.

Smith College's EMBA program in China emphasizes the cultural diversity of management. This is also the key element of enterprise management in the process of China rapidly becoming the driving force of the world economy. Smith's China students will have the opportunity to carry out projects and participate in simulation operations with students from Smith Business School and other branches around the world in Beijing and Shanghai. Smith College is one of the few foreign business schools approved by the Ministry of Education of China to offer EMBA programs in China. All courses are taught monthly by professors from China headquarters of Smith Business School.

Smith Business School specially designed personalized EMBA courses to meet the needs of multinational companies in China and China. Otis Elevator (China) is one of the fastest growing multinational companies in China and one of the enterprises participating in our specially designed personalized EMBA project. The faculty and staff of the college teach our courses in Tianjin Otis World-class Training Center.

Smith Business School's partner in China is China Saiwei Communication Company. This e-learning company has established a nationwide distance learning network in cooperation with many universities in China. This cooperation enables the College's courses to cover the whole of China via satellite. These projects mainly focus on supply chain management, bank management and other fields. Experts predict that the distance education market in China will exceed $600 million this year.

Now, Smith Business School has the first batch of over 65,438+000 alumni in China, and the number is increasing. This group of alumni includes graduates from Smith (China) Business School and foreign graduates living in China.
