Xi University of Architecture and Technology, referred to as "Xijian University", is located in the ancient capital Xi. It is one of the "Old Eight Schools of Architecture" in China.
During the third adjustment of national colleges and universities from 65438 to 0956, the school was formed by the merger of departments (branches) of architecture, civil engineering and municipal engineering of Northeast Institute of Technology, Northwest Institute of Technology, Qingdao Institute of Technology and Sunan Institute of Technology, and was named Xi 'an Institute of Architecture and Engineering. 1959 and 1963 were renamed Xi' an Metallurgical Institute and Xi' an Metallurgical Architecture Institute, referred to as Xiye for short.
1994 in March, with the approval of the former State Education Commission, it was renamed as Xi University of Architecture and Technology. 20 1 1 The graduate school was established in September. The school is a university approved by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government.
