The medical college now has five undergraduate majors: clinical medicine, clinical medicine of Chinese and western medicine, nursing and pharmacy. There are three minor courses in clinical medicine: obstetrics and gynecology, midwifery, dermatology and prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases. Since 2006, clinical medicine majors have begun to recruit international students with a six-year academic system (including a one-year internship period). It is a pure English teaching institution approved by the Ministry of Education that can recruit overseas students. At present, there are 7 doctoral programs in the first-level discipline of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine, 7 master programs in basic medicine, clinical medicine, public health and preventive medicine, pharmacy, traditional Chinese medicine, integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine, nursing, and master programs in clinical medicine (including general medicine, clinical pathology, integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine) and traditional Chinese medicine 1 program. Among them, the first-level discipline of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine is a provincial key discipline, and 15 clinical specialties such as gastroenterology, neurology, cardiology, hematology, obstetrics and gynecology, thoracic and cardiac surgery, general surgery, orthopedics, urology, anesthesiology, and medical imaging are provincial key clinical specialties. Yangzhou University has a postdoctoral research station of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine.

The medical college has departments of clinical medicine, clinical medicine, obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive medicine, integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine, nursing, pharmacy and basic medicine. It also has provincial basic medical experimental teaching demonstration centers, central and local clinical medical teaching experimental centers and comprehensive pharmaceutical teaching laboratories. Eight clinical medical schools, including Subei People's Hospital and Yangzhou First People's Hospital. There are more than 30 teaching practice hospitals.
