There are generally two situations in which a university is renamed. First, the junior college was upgraded to an undergraduate school, and the junior college was renamed a university. Second, the independent college was renamed when it was transformed into a private undergraduate course. The list of universities expected to be renamed in 2020 is as follows:

1, Jiangsu Province:

Suzhou Institute of Science and Technology wants to change its name to Suzhou University of Science and Technology; Nanjing Audit University wants to change its name to Nanjing Audit University; Xuzhou Medical College wants to change its name to Xuzhou Medical University; Nanjing Institute of Technology wants to change its name to Nanjing Institute of Technology; Nanjing University of the Arts wants to be renamed Nanjing University of the Arts; Changzhou Institute of Technology will be renamed Changzhou Institute of Technology; Jinling Institute of Technology will be renamed Jinling University of Science and Technology; Huaiyin Teachers College wants to be renamed Huaiyin Teachers College or Huai 'an University.

2. Liaoning Province:

Liaoning Medical College wants to change its name to Liaoning Medical University; Anshan Normal University wants to change its name to Anshan Normal University or Anshan University.

3. Zhejiang Province:

Zhejiang Ocean University wants to be renamed Zhejiang Ocean University; Zhejiang Communication College wants to change its name to Zhejiang Communication University; Zhejiang Ningbo Institute of Technology wants to change its name to Ningbo Institute of Technology; China Ji Liang University wants to change its name to China Metrology University; Huzhou Normal University will be renamed Huzhou School; Zhejiang international studies university will be renamed as Zhejiang International Studies University; Zhejiang University of Science and Technology wants to change its name to Zhejiang University of Science and Technology.

4. Jiangxi Province:

Gannan Medical College should be renamed as Gannan Medical University; Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute wants to change its name to Jingdezhen Ceramic University; Gannan Normal University wants to change its name to Gannan Normal University or Ganzhou College; Jiujiang College wants to be renamed Jiujiang College; Nanchang Institute of Technology wants to change its name to Nanchang Institute of Technology.

5. Henan Province:

Zhengzhou Institute of Light Industry wants to change its name to Zhengzhou Institute of Light Industry; Henan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine wants to change its name to Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine; Xinxiang Medical College wants to change its name to Xinxiang Medical College; Henan Institute of Technology wants to change its name to Henan University of Technology; Nanyang normal College will be renamed nanyang normal College; Zhengzhou institute of aeronautical industry management wants to change its name to Zhengzhou University of Aeronautical Technology.

6. Guangdong Province:

Guangdong Medical College wants to change its name to Guangdong Medical University; Foshan Institute of Technology wants to change its name to Foshan Institute of Technology; Dongguan Institute of Technology wants to change its name to Dongguan Institute of Technology; Guangdong Teachers College of Technology wants to be renamed Guangdong Teachers College of Technology.
