Henan Normal University, referred to as Henan Normal University for short, is located in Xinxiang City, Henan Province. It is a provincial key university jointly established by the People's Government of Henan Province and the Ministry of Education, and a key characteristic university in Henan Province.

It has been selected into the national11/plan, the central and western higher education revitalization plan, the national college students' innovation and entrepreneurship training plan, the excellent teacher training plan, the excellent agricultural and forestry talents education training plan, and the social work professional training base of the Ministry of Civil Affairs. Is a 168 school, covering philosophy, economy, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering and agriculture.

The school was formerly known as Zhongzhou University (formerly the predecessor of National Henan University) founded in 1923 and Pingyuan Teachers College founded in 195 1. After the Second Hospital of Henan Normal University, Henan Second Normal University and Xinxiang Normal University, 1985 was called Henan Normal University.

As of March, 2023, the school covers an area of 1.3953 million square meters, with a building area of 1.0 1.000 square meters, and has a collection of 326 1.800 Chinese and foreign paper books and 0 1.045890 electronic books. There are 25 colleges (departments) and 88 undergraduate majors.
