According to official website of Sun Yat-sen University, there are 7,000 students in the East Campus of Sun Yat-sen University and 9,000 students in the South Campus. Sun Yat-sen University, referred to as CUHK, is located in Guangzhou and directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). It is a comprehensive national key university jointly established by the Ministry of Education, the State Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and Guangdong Province.
