Qufu Normal University 1955 was founded in Jinan, formerly known as Shandong Normal University. 1956 In May, it was upgraded to Qufu Teachers College with the approval of the Ministry of Education, and moved to Qufu in September of the same year, starting the course of establishing undergraduate education. From September 1970 to April 1974 merged with the liberal arts of Shandong University to form the new Shandong University. 1April, 974, Qufu Teachers College resumed.
