Guangzhou A College includes Guangzhou Maritime College, Zhaoqing Medical College, private Hualian College and nanhua college of industry and commerce.

Guangzhou Maritime College is the only independent maritime college in South China, which belongs to the Guangdong Provincial People's Government. The school is located by the Pearl River in Guangzhou. Yu 1992 was formally established on the basis of Guangzhou Navigation School of the former Ministry of Communications and Guangzhou Branch of Wuhan Waterway Engineering College. Zhaoqing Medical College was founded in 1958, formerly known as Zhaoqing Branch of Sun Yat-sen Medical College, and later renamed Zhaoqing Health School of Guangdong Province. In May 2004, it was upgraded to Zhaoqing Medical College, becoming the only independent public medical college in Guangdong Province. Private Hualian College is a provincial-level ordinary institution of higher learning approved by the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and put on record by the State Education Commission. Nanhua college of industry and commerce is the only state-owned private institution of higher learning in Guangdong Province, which was approved by the Guangdong Provincial Federation of Trade Unions on 1993 and based on the Guangdong Provincial Federation of Trade Unions Cadre School, with liberal arts as the mainstay and engineering as the supplement.
