Double degree, usually a double bachelor's degree. Among them, the second bachelor's degree means that on the basis of obtaining the first bachelor's degree, after studying full-time full-time undergraduate majors in another discipline for two years, the second bachelor's degree will be awarded after reaching the degree-granting conditions stipulated by a university. Different from the second bachelor's degree, the minor degree is to study the degree course of another major at the same time in the undergraduate study stage, and obtain the minor bachelor's degree of another subject at the same time after meeting the specified requirements. Those who fail to apply for a bachelor's degree can obtain a minor certificate according to the corresponding conditions.
In China, minor degrees are usually called double degrees, and some colleges and universities have issued "double bachelor's degree certificates" for minor students, but this is not standardized. In the policy consultation on the website of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Education publicly replied to public messages in 2007 and 2008 respectively, saying that "China has not implemented the so-called' double degree' system" and "China has no corresponding policy applicable to' double degree'". In the public documents of the Ministry of Education, the term "double degree" often refers to a double degree jointly run with foreign universities. (The Ministry of Education's Opinions of the Ministry of Finance on Deepening the Reform of Postgraduate Education of the National Development and Reform Commission of the Ministry of Education points out: "Promote Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools and support cooperation with overseas high-level universities to carry out' double degree' and' joint degree' projects." But in practice, "minor degree" is often called "double degree" by domestic universities. For example, Fujian Straits Metropolis Daily reported that the "double degree certificate" was changed to "minor certificate". The school said that the document of the Ministry of Education was implemented: "In fact, according to the relevant documents published by the provincial education department network, many undergraduates in colleges and universities in our province studied a" double degree ",which should be strictly called a minor degree. Due to the irregular operation before, many minor degree certificates in colleges and universities appeared in the name of "double bachelor's degree certificate". "In fact, the Ministry of Education only regulates the academic qualifications of minor majors, and the minor diploma can be combined with the undergraduate diploma as proof of academic qualifications. However, in order to maintain China's national degree system, minor degrees granted by universities are not recognized in normative documents. The Notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Education on Standardizing the Academic Certificates of Ordinary Colleges and Universities (Ministry of Education Letter [20 14] 14) points out: "Ordinary colleges and universities can only issue and register one academic certificate to students who have obtained their school status. Students who really have spare capacity for learning can take other professional courses of the same level during their school days to meet the professional requirements, and the school can issue minor certificates for them. The minor certificate is used in conjunction with the academic certificate, and is generally not used as an academic certificate alone. "
