The Lingang Campus of Yibin University is located in Yibin University Town, Yibin Lingang Economic and Technological Development Zone, with a total project area of about 1.500 mu.

Yibin College is introduced as follows:

Yibin University, located in Yibin City, Sichuan Province, a national historical and cultural city, was jointly established by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education and Yibin Municipal Government. It is one of the first batch of pilot institutions in the "Double Hundred Programs" of applied technology education between China and the United States of the Ministry of Education, and one of the pilot institutions in Sichuan Province for overall transformation, development and reform.

Selected data China "Hundred Schools Project" and Sichuan Excellent Teacher Education and Training Program are members of Universities of Applied Sciences (College) Alliance, Sichuan Applied Undergraduate University Alliance, vice chairman of Sichuan Southern University Alliance, and director of Chengdu Service Sichuan Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Alliance.

1978 school was founded in Lizhuang, Sichuan, and was approved by the Ministry of Education in May 1978. It was formed by the merger of the former Yibin Teachers College (approved by the State Council in May/978) and Sichuan Education College Yibin Branch (established in May/984).

As of March, 20021year, the school has the old jiangbei campus (zone a and zone b) and the new Lingang campus, with a total area of 2,300 mu, total fixed assets of about 4 billion yuan, total teaching and research instruments and equipment of about 280 million yuan, and nearly120,000 books (including e-books). 13 departments, 3 second-level colleges, 63 undergraduate majors and 3 specialist majors. Faculty 1 1,649, including full-time teachers 1 person, and nearly 23,000 students.
