Canterbury University is an ancient and prestigious national university in New Zealand. It was founded in 1873 by scholars from Oxford University and Cambridge University.

4. Victoria University of Wellington is located in Wellington, the capital of New Zealand. Founded in 1897, it is one of the oldest universities in New Zealand.

5. Massey University is the largest public university in New Zealand, founded in 1927, with students from more than 20 countries around the world.

6. The University of Waikato, founded in 1964, is one of the most innovative universities in New Zealand with a modern and intelligent campus.

7. Lincoln University is a comprehensive public university founded by the New Zealand government and 1878. It is located in Christchurch, the third largest city in New Zealand.

8. Auckland University of Technology is one of the eight public universities in New Zealand. Its predecessor was Auckland University of Technology, which was officially approved by the New Zealand government to be upgraded to a university in 2000.
