The school has Siming Campus, Zhangzhou Campus, Xiang 'an Campus and Malaysia Branch, as well as graduate schools, 6 departments, 34 colleges (directly affiliated departments and directly affiliated centers) and 17 research institutes, forming a/kloc-covering philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, medicine, management, art and interdisciplinary subjects.

There are 32 postdoctoral mobile stations. In 2022, the school was selected into the second round of "double-first-class" construction colleges and universities announced by the state, and six disciplines including chemistry, biology, marine science, ecology, statistics and education were selected into the second round of "double-first-class" construction disciplines list.

1, finance

Finance mainly studies the basic knowledge and skills of finance, economics, monetary banking, securities investment and insurance, and carries out investment and financial management and risk control in securities, investment, trust and insurance industries. For example: income analysis, risk assessment and investment management of funds, stocks and bonds, sales of property and life insurance, handling of bank counter business, etc.

2. Chemistry

Chemistry mainly studies the basic theoretical knowledge of chemistry and the basic operation skills of chemical experiments, including chemical reactions and changes within a single substance and between various substances, and understands the mechanism and process of changes, such as burning goods, rusting steel, food decay, food brewing and other processes, which are all chemical changes. By studying the process of these changes, we can understand the reasons and mechanisms of the changes.

3. Materials Science and Engineering

Materials science and engineering mainly study the basic knowledge and skills of material preparation, processing and molding in the fields of metal materials, inorganic nonmetallic materials and polymer materials, and explore the relationship between the structure and properties of materials in order to better utilize and modify materials. For example, improve the strength of satellite shell materials, optimize the clarity of mobile phone LCD panel materials, and improve the durability of artificial joints in the medical industry.
