China University of Political Science and Law has two campuses, Changping Campus and Haidian Campus.

China University of Political Science and Law is a "2 1 1 project" key construction university with legal characteristics and advantages, and it is also a university with political science, economics, management, literature, history, philosophy, education, science and engineering and other disciplines.

"985 Engineering Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform", "20 1 1 plan" and "1plan" (discipline innovation and intelligence introduction plan) focus on building "double-class" universities directly under the Ministry of Education, and are committed to building world-class universities and first-class disciplines. There are two campuses, Xueyuan Road in Haidian District and Fu Xue Road in Changping District.

The school offers courses such as law, investigation, political science and administration, administration, international politics, business administration, economics, international business, financial engineering, philosophy, Chinese language and literature, ideological and political education, sociology, social work, applied psychology, English, German, translation, journalism, network and new media, mathematics and applied mathematics.

Among them, law, politics, administration and sociology are the specialties with national characteristics.

The school has 38 doctoral degree authorization points, 78 master degree authorization points, 8 professional master degree authorization points and 4 postdoctoral research mobile stations. Law, political science, Marxist theory and theoretical economics are the first-level disciplines authorized by doctoral degree, while philosophy, applied economics, sociology, psychology, foreign languages and literature, journalism and communication, China history, business administration and public administration are the first-level disciplines authorized by master degree.

Among them, law is a first-class discipline and politics is a first-class discipline in Beijing. Evidence science was selected into the list of high-tech disciplines in Beijing universities. In the fourth round of discipline evaluation, nine first-level disciplines of the school participated in the evaluation and were all listed, among which law entered the A+ file, tied for the first place in the country, political science ranked eighth in the country, and sociology, philosophy, Marxist theory and other disciplines achieved good results.
