Taizhou University, located in Taizhou City, Jiangsu Province, a national historical and cultural city known as "the ancient county of Han and Tang Dynasties and the famous area of Huaihai", is a provincial full-time public undergraduate college.
The school's predecessor was Taizhou Teachers College, which was formed by the merger of Taixing Teachers College (founded in 194 1) and Taizhou Teachers College (founded in 1952) in 2000. In 2002, Taizhou Radio and TV University was merged into Taizhou Teachers College; 20 13 Approved by the Ministry of Education, Taizhou College was established on the basis of Taizhou Normal University.
