The National Changsha Temporary University, founded in Changsha by the National Peking University, the National Tsinghua University and the private Nankai University, opened in Changsha (this day also became the anniversary day of the National Southwest Associated University). Because Changsha was bombed by Japanese planes,1in mid-February, 938, Changsha Temporary University was moved to Kunming in three ways with the approval of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of China. 1938 changed its name to National Southwest Associated University in April.
Achievement in running a school
The postgraduate courses offered by National Southwest Associated University are coordinated by professors from three universities, regardless of schools. Professors in these three universities are all recruited by the General Assembly. Graduate students are recruited by three universities respectively, and their student status does not belong to the General Association.
Peking University Research Institute 1939 resumed studying in Kunming in May and began to recruit graduate students. The director of the Institute is also the principal, the director of the Institute is also the dean of all colleges in Peking University, and the directors of all departments are also the heads of relevant departments in Peking University. After August, various departments gradually resumed their establishment. By the end of the Anti-Japanese War, * * * had established three research institutes and 12 departments.
Tsinghua Research Institute also resumed on 1939. By the end of the Anti-Japanese War, there were 4 research institutes, 16 academic departments and 5 specialized research institutes.
