Sun yat-sen university's policy of changing majors

Students who change majors must meet the following basic conditions:

(1) Undergraduate students in Grade One or Grade Two are not oriented.

(2) Good political performance, qualified ideological and moral conduct, law-abiding, diligent and dedicated, self-motivated and healthy.

(3) There was no violation of law and discipline during the school period, and no disciplinary action was taken.

(4) There is no failure in the examinations of the courses studied, and the average GPA of compulsory and restricted courses is above 2.0.

(5) Never changed my major.

Sun yat-sen university transfer program

(1) In the first ten days of April, all departments filled in the Schedule of Students Accepting and Changing Majors issued by the Academic Affairs Office. At the same time, each department should formulate its own assessment methods and procedures for students to apply for transfer according to the actual situation, and report them to the Academic Affairs Office together with the curriculum.

(2) In mid-April, the Academic Affairs Office made a preliminary summary of the places that each department accepted to change majors, submitted it to the principal in charge for approval, and announced the planned places and audit procedures of each major to all students.

All colleges and departments should arrange time for the teachers in charge of this work to answer students' inquiries, and get the Application Form for Undergraduates to Change Major from Sun Yat-sen University from the Academic Affairs Office.

(3) In the first ten days of May, students who apply to change their major will receive the Application Form for Undergraduates of Sun Yat-sen University from the Academic Affairs Office of their department, fill it out according to the form and send it back to the Academic Affairs Office of their department, and it will not be accepted after the deadline.

(4) Before May 20th, all departments shall review all the materials applied for changing majors, and forward the examination and approval results to the departments where students apply for changing majors.

(5) Before the end of May, all departments shall conduct a comprehensive review of the students applying for transfer in accordance with the published Detailed Rules for Transfer, and fill in the list of students admitted and the results of the review on the Summary of Qualification Review of Transfer Students uniformly issued by the Academic Affairs Office and report it to the Academic Affairs Office. All departments that need to interview students should arrange the interview time and place in advance.

(6) In early June, the Academic Affairs Office reviewed and summarized the qualifications of students majoring in transfer and reported them to the principal in charge of teaching for approval. And announce the preliminary selection list of transfer students to the whole school.

(7) Within one week after the end of the semester final exam, after each department has reviewed the students' conduct and credit scores in accordance with the first requirement, students who do not meet the requirements for changing majors will be reported to the Academic Affairs Office. The official list of transfer students will be announced after being reviewed by the Academic Affairs Office. After receiving the list, the academic staff of each department should do a good job in preparing for the transfer or reception of the student status materials.

(8) In the first week of the first semester of the new school year, all colleges and systems will apply for new transfer students' status, student ID cards and registration until the Academic Affairs Office.

(9) The transfer of departments and majors shall be arranged according to the above procedures. Outside the specified time, the procedures for transferring from department to major will not be handled.
