With the cultivation of outstanding talents as the core, the Alliance of Outstanding Universities explores the rules and modes of talent cultivation, and carries out all-round and in-depth exchanges and cooperation in the joint cultivation of undergraduate and postgraduate enrollment, international cooperation and exchange, resource sharing and Industry-University-Research cooperation. The excellent university alliance implements the rotating chairman system, and the presidents of nine universities take turns to serve as the rotating chairman of the alliance. The joint meeting of presidents is held regularly every year, and a joint working meeting system is established for graduate schools, academic affairs offices, admissions offices, science and technology offices, international cooperation offices, information centers, equipment offices, libraries and other departments. Pei Gang, president of Tongji University, was the first rotating chairman. Li Jiajun, president of Tianjin University, is the second rotating chairman. Jiang Chengyu, president of Northwestern Polytechnical University, is the third rotating chairman. In addition to the above nine schools, Hunan University also participated in some activities carried out by the Alliance, such as postgraduate enrollment cooperation and library knowledge sharing service platform.
