Journal A, Journal B and Journal C are a classification of journals in universities and research institutes. These classifications are usually based on quality. Class A >: Class B > Class C. Class B is the dividing line of "OK". Class C is usually regarded as "water journal", while Class A is a high-level periodical in this field.
Specifically, Class A periodicals are regular periodicals and recognized as high-quality periodicals in academic circles, and the papers published in these periodicals usually have high academic value. Class B periodicals may be supplements or supplements, and the influence of publishing papers on them may not be as good as that of Class A periodicals. However, C journals are usually low-level journals, and the papers published in these journals may have less influence.
In addition, "Journal C" is the abbreviation of Nanjing University's "Citation Index of Chinese Social Sciences (CSSCI) Source Periodical". Different from C-Magazine, C-Magazine is an internal division made by each unit according to its own assessment standards, and "C-Magazine" refers to CSSCI journals in particular.
It should be noted that there are no special standards for these classifications. Generally, there are graded periodicals in schools, and each school has a different degree of recognition of periodicals. Therefore, when choosing to publish a journal, besides the level of the journal, we should also consider our own research direction, the quality of the paper and the feasibility of submitting it.
