Abstract: The main motive force of China's contemporary enlightenment environment is intellectuals, so is the conscience of society, and college students are the biggest foundation of intellectuals. Now the secularization of college students has hindered the contemporary enlightenment, and the secularization of universities is also the last step of social secularization. With the popularization of education and the expansion of university enrollment in China, a large number of "pseudo-college students" enter universities, which is the main reason for the decline of university education environment and the secularization of universities. To develop and become strong, China today must get rid of the feudal ideology of more than 2,000 years and get rid of it completely. Enlightenment has become the only way for this reform, and China intellectuals will play an important role in it. College students are the most important members of this group, so they should have the responsibility of enlightenment. However, the contemporary government of China has long regarded "education-oriented" as an important national policy, and universal education has become one of the basic national policies of China. In recent years, the state has adopted relevant policies for the expansion of university enrollment, and now there are many more college students than before. On the one hand, this is a major symbol of the rise of new China, benefiting the country and the people. However, with the popularization of universities, there are various disadvantages in basic education. Although exam-oriented education has been transformed into quality education, there are still many problems in the actual process. Many students don't have good learning methods and solid cultural foundation in the process from primary school to high school, but due to the expansion of university enrollment, high school students who should have been eliminated continue to study in universities through various means. The phenomenon of "popularization" began to erode the learning environment of the whole university, and the quality level of college students also declined, which also directly impacted the school-running policy of "lenient entry and strict exit" in many universities. Excessive "moisture" in the process of university enrollment is also the main reason for the "civilian" learning atmosphere in universities. This phenomenon is common all over the country. On the one hand, mass education is indeed popularized, and the average cultural level of the people has also improved, but this part of "pseudo-college students" has greatly weakened university education. However, these "ordinary people" did not join the ranks of intellectuals in the process of school education, but instead pulled more outstanding people into secularization. For example, in reality, many people are late and absent from class, and the seriousness of the situation makes schools have to manage by attendance. Of course, in the actual operation process, this only plays a palliative role, but the root of the matter still lies in our students themselves. However, such phenomena, which should not have appeared in universities, have repeatedly appeared and become increasingly fierce, and the "university problem" has become a major social problem. Among them, we students and teachers should reflect! This is a typical manifestation of the secularization of college students in China. On the contrary, American peers stop studying after graduating from high school, while those who go to college want to continue their studies, and their motivation for learning is reasonable. Rational optimization of college students' quality. Moreover, the tuition fees of American college students are earned by their own jobs and loans, which also improves their sense of responsibility to themselves and society and teachers' sense of self-responsibility.
