Yunnan University is a member of the "one province, one school" national key construction university (Z 14) alliance in the central and western regions, and the leading unit of the South Asia Southeast Asia University Alliance. With independent enrollment qualifications, there is a graduate school. It is a comprehensive university featuring ethnology, biology, development of characteristic resources and environmental protection, as well as research on frontier issues and international issues in Southeast Asia and South Asia.
