Henan Zhongzhou University is the first university in Asia to offer sign language translation. There are more than 500 deaf students and sign language translation students 150. Deaf people have majors in decorative art design, painting of ancient buildings, animation design and production, photography and video technology, computer foundation, mechatronics, e-commerce, chemical food and so on. Henan Sign Language Training and Promotion Center has also been established, which is the only formal sign language training, examination and appraisal institution in central and western China.
