I'm actually free. Frank

This article by Yun Qi mainly introduces three outstanding graduates from Green Island University.

The first one is naturally Mr. Bai Yang who was imprisoned in "Huoshao Island" for nearly 10 years (1920-2008). In the first few days in prison, Mr. Bai Yang was desperate and went on a hunger strike. Fortunately, he later chose to live in prison and wrote a book. After he got out of prison, he named his prison Green Island. Mr Bai Yang once said humorously: I graduated from Green Island University. After he was released from prison, Mr. Bai Yang's creation went into a blowout state. Looking at the photos of Mr. Bai Yang after he got out of prison, he is still full of energy. No wonder so many Dou E became ghosts, but Mr. Bai Yang survived with a smile and died.

Nelson mandela, South Africa's first black president and anti-apartheid fighter, was imprisoned on a desert island in the Atlantic Ocean for 27 years!

1994 mandela was elected president. At the inauguration ceremony, Mandela specially invited him to watch his guards on Robben Island and introduce them to everyone. Mandela stood up slowly and respectfully paid tribute to the three guards. His tolerance put the guards who had humiliated and abused him for 27 years to shame. Mandela said: When he was young, he was impatient. Prison life taught him to control his emotions and face his own experiences and pains, so he survived.

After his release, Mandela said something that touched the hearts of the world: "When I walked out of my cell and walked to the door of freedom, I knew that if I could not leave my grief and resentment behind, I would still be in prison." ?

Victor Frank (1905- 1997), a Jew, is a psychologist. 1944, Frank and his family were imprisoned in Nazi concentration camps, where he lost his wife, parents and brother. One day, after moving the body, Frank sat exhausted in the corner of his cell. In the endless wandering of thoughts, Frank felt that his spirit had drifted away from his body and looked at his despair from another angle. At this moment, Frank realized a truth: I am actually free.

"Without our consent, no one can hurt us. Our voluntary permission for injury is often more lethal than the injury itself. " Frank's terrible experience in the concentration camp has not been destroyed, but has produced more positive and optimistic thoughts. Frank's later years were brilliant: he often gave speeches all over the world, inspiring audiences all over the world with his personality charm. Frank got a pilot's license at the age of 67 and climbed the Alps at the age of 80.

In such a bad situation, they can control their own destiny. What about you?
