Relying on Sichuan University, the State Key Laboratory of Biotherapy was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology in March 2005 and formally established in June 5438+February 2007. At the same time, the laboratory is also a scientific and technological innovation platform of the "985 Project" of the Ministry of Education and an interdisciplinary research center of Sichuan University. The laboratory covers an area of 100 mu, with a planned construction area of 70,000 square meters, and now it has been built to 37,000 square meters. At present, it has more than ten laboratories and research centers, such as tumor biotherapy laboratory, molecular genetics laboratory, tissue engineering and stem cell laboratory, molecular pathology laboratory, gastrointestinal polypeptide laboratory, infectious disease laboratory, neurobiology laboratory, cardiovascular disease laboratory, signal transduction laboratory, genetic engineering mouse center, national new drug safety evaluation center (GLP center) and national new drug clinical trial base (GCP). The director of the laboratory is Academician Wei Yuquan, and the director of the academic committee is Professor Zhang Sizhong.
