Yan Ning is a new academician in 2023.

Yan Ning was born in 1977./kloc-0 studied in the department of biology of Tsinghua University from 1996 to 2000, and then went to the department of molecular biology of Princeton University to study for a doctorate. He studied apoptosis under Professor Shi Yigong. In February 2004, he passed the defense of his doctoral thesis. From June 5438 to October 2007 10, after completing postdoctoral training in Princeton, he was employed by Tsinghua University Medical College and became the youngest professor and doctoral supervisor in Tsinghua at that time.

On April 20 17, Yan Ning left Tsinghua University in 10 and became the first Shirley Tillman tenured professor in the Department of Molecular Biology at Princeton University. Shirley Tillman is a world-famous molecular biologist and the first female president of Princeton University in more than 200 years. This title is considered unique among American professors.

Yan Ning studied undergraduate in Tsinghua University in 2000. In 2000, she went to the Department of Molecular Biology, Princeton University, USA, to pursue a doctoral degree and study apoptosis. On 20 17, Yan Ning left Tsinghua University, accepted the invitation of Princeton University, and was employed as Shirley Tillman tenured professor in the Department of Molecular Biology. Yan Ning's choice was criticized at that time.

In a statement confirming the news, Tsinghua University said: This is a normal phenomenon of international high-level talent flow. Tsinghua maintains an open, optimistic and positive attitude towards this. He also said that Yan Ning will keep in touch with Tsinghua and arrange time to continue scientific research and personnel training in Tsinghua, so as to further deepen and improve academic exchanges and cooperation between the two universities and between China and the United States.
