Tsinghua-Berkeley Shenzhen College (TBSI for short) was jointly established by Shenzhen Municipal People's Government, Tsinghua University and University of California, Berkeley in 20 14, and is committed to cultivating global leading talents in science and technology and future entrepreneurs.

In the early days of its establishment, Tsinghua-Berkeley Shenzhen College will set up three interdisciplinary research centers and 16 laboratories in the forefront of environmental science and new energy technology, data science and information technology, precision medicine and public health, integrate the high-quality scientific research and education resources of the two universities, build an international and innovative talent education and research system, and actively respond to and solve major scientific and technological problems and social problems facing the region and even the world.

Tsinghua-Berkeley Shenzhen College is located in Shenzhen Nanshan Zhiyuan and Tsinghua University Shenzhen Graduate School, and conducts research and teaching in Shenzhen and the University of California, Berkeley.
