Guangxi Medical University, located in Nanning, the capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, was founded in June 5438+0934, June 5438+1October 2 1. It is one of the 22 medical colleges established earlier in China, one of the first eight medical colleges in China to recruit foreign students, students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and overseas Chinese students, one of the first 30 colleges in China with all-English teaching qualifications, and one of the key universities built by the Guangxi government. This school has a long history. Founded as Guangxi Provincial Medical College, it was later renamed as Guangxi University Medical College, Guangxi Military Medical School, Guangxi Provincial Medical College, Guangxi Medical College and Guangxi Medical College. The school site has also been relocated many times due to the current situation. 1July, 954, the school moved from Guilin to Nanning. 1June, 1996, the Ministry of Education approved the renaming of Guangxi Medical University.
