Guangxi Normal University, referred to as Guangxi Normal University for short, is located in the world-famous scenic city of Guilin. It was founded by the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the people of China and the Ministry of Education.

Guangxi Normal University, founded in 1932 and formerly known as Guangxi Provincial Teachers College, is one of the earliest higher normal schools in China.

Guangxi Normal University has more than 10 Vietnamese national leaders and more than 40 Vietnamese provincial and ministerial leaders. At present, it is the university that receives and trains the most Vietnamese students in China. Guangxi Normal University has three campuses, namely Wangcheng, Yucai and Yanshan, with a total area of 4 100 mu.

1in the spring of 932, the Guangxi provincial government decided to establish Guangxi Provincial Teachers College.

1983 in may, the people's government of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region decided to change its name to Guangxi normal university.

In 2006, the school was approved as a doctoral degree awarding unit.

In 20 12, the school was identified by the state as a key construction university in the "comprehensive strength improvement project of universities in the central and western regions".

In 20 14, the school was listed as the key construction university of "excellent teacher training plan".

On August 8, 20 15, the people's government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the Ministry of Education signed an opinion on the construction of Guangxi Normal University, and Guangxi Normal University officially entered the ranks of key universities under construction by the Ministry of Education.

May 20 18 was selected as a first-class discipline construction university in Guangxi.
