According to the eleven disciplines (namely, philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, agriculture, medicine, engineering, management) stipulated in the Interim Measures for the Implementation of the Regulations on Academic Degrees in People's Republic of China (PRC), it is generally allowed to study in another discipline after completing a certain undergraduate professional course in one discipline and obtaining a bachelor's degree. If the country has special needs, with the approval of the State Education Commission, after completing a bachelor's degree in an undergraduate major in the same discipline category, then study for a second undergraduate major, complete all the requirements stipulated in the teaching plan, and be allowed to graduate with qualified results, a second bachelor's degree may also be awarded.
