The plane finally landed. It was around 5 pm local time, that is, London time, 8 hours later than Beijing time. After a flurry at the baggage claim area, we mingled with people of different colors and styles. My eyes kept jumping from one alien to another. What a spectacular sight!
Later, we met a person in the university. We later learned that this person is Barbara, our course director. After about an hour's bus ride, we finally arrived in Brighton, where we were picked up by different British host families. My host family is a couple with a five-year-old daughter. On the way to their home, the hostess said that we (Xu and I) were lucky because they just moved into a new house. Each of us has a separate room. The bathroom is ok. We had pizza and some vegetables for dinner.
It was not until I took a shower that I realized that I had slept for nearly 24 hours. This is the longest day I have ever spent. I will have to get over the jet lag.
July 2004 13 fine
In order to save money, Xu He decided to walk to the university, but we never expected that the sidewalk only extended to the end of the town. We finally walked on the side of the road and the car roared past.
Sandra was very nervous and complained all the way. Fortunately, it was our idea, not mine alone. Although I am well aware of the danger we are in, I try to be more calm. We may be knocked down by any passing car! Thank god it didn't happen.

I want to write some interesting things.
1. It's almost nine o'clock at night, and the sun is still shining high on the horizon.
2. There is drinking water in the toilet!
My teacher Barbara wears so many fancy rings on her finger, and even has one on her toe!
Metal boxes are attached to some telephone poles on campus. They are for students to put in cigarette butts.
The car marked with L at the back tells people that someone is learning to drive. A car marked with P means that someone who has just passed the driving test is driving a car.
6. Some signs and warnings are written in big letters on the road, such as "bus lanes", "buses and taxis", "look right and then left", "keep clean", "no parking" and "back off".
7. Almost all houses have chimneys on their roofs.
Most bus drivers are in their fifties. They are very kind and helpful.
9. There is a big revolving frame in the university canteen, and the students put the used trays on it after eating.
10. Almost all the houses facing the street have beautifully woven white curtains, which are out of date in China, but to me, they are very romantic.
2 1 day fine on July 2004
After dinner, Xu and I went for a walk in Luoting. As we approached, we took a different road, which led to the windmill on the top of the mountain. Once we arrived at the windmill, we found ourselves in the middle of a golf course, and the English Channel appeared in front of us with the sunset. What a spectacular sight! We were so excited that Sandra started yelling (I made sure there was no one around). We took some photos and then came back by bus.

Frankly speaking, I don't like computer classes at all. Lily speaks in a weak voice. She is always alone. I don't think she is a native English speaker. This afternoon, in her class, I began to feel a severe headache. I am a computer illiterate and feel like a complete idiot. Then on the way home, Sandra and I stopped by a DVD shop. I watched the DVD with great concentration, when I saw Sandra standing outside the door from the corner of my eye. So without thinking much, I walked to the door. Bang! I hit my head on the window! Embarrassment outweighs pain. Fortunately, I quickly found the right door and ran away from the store. I knew people must be laughing at me … what a terrible day! My thirteenth day in England!
Sunny on July 27, 2004
Towards evening this afternoon, my English friend Ben came to Brighton from London by train, and we met at the train station (just like in the movie). Before I could see his face clearly, he gave me a "huge" hug (obviously he gained some weight) and kissed me on the cheek. Then we looked at each other and smiled happily! He took me to a bar and we had a few drinks. I did well, we didn't fight! We talked about the time when he was teaching in my school in China, and the happy time we spent with friends in Pinghu. He kept saying, "Just like yesterday …" Then we went to the beach and took a photo. The old couple who helped with the camera said we looked perfect! I'm happy, and of course I'm sad, because it's finally time for us not to go to never say goodbye. Hug and kiss again, but this time I feel really so small (as Ben said) and completely lost!
That was my "romance" in England. He will come to see me again next Tuesday.

Damian Slee is another teacher. She also teaches teaching methods and introduces different English teaching methods. The first impression he gave me was that he was not a native English speaker, but a Spaniard, and I boldly told him this. Luckily he didn't kill me-he was English.
I am attracted by his interesting courses and his teaching method, which seems loose, but in fact it is very flexible. He can inspire me, and many times I find myself saying words and expressions that I haven't used for a long time. I like the background music he played for us. I like listening to him sing familiar songs, and I hope I can sing with him. I look forward to when he will do some lessons in songs and poems.
Saturday, July 2004 10, beautiful
The plane finally landed. This is 5 pm local time, that is, London time, 8 hours later than Beijing. After making a scene at the baggage claim area, we mingled with people of different colors and styles. My eyes kept jumping from one place to another. What do you mean, invisible!
Then, we received a lecture from the university. We later learned that her name was Barbara, our course director. About an hour's drive, we finally arrived in Brighton. We chose different British host families. My host family is a couple and a 5-year-old daughter. Their family is on the road, said the hostess. We are lucky because they have just moved to a new house. Each of us is in a separate room. The bathroom is ok. We had something similar to pizza and some vegetables for dinner.
It was the only shower, and then I realized that I had slept for nearly 24 hours. This is the longest day, I have already passed. I have to get over the jet lag.
In July 2004, 13 is no problem.

Fined in July 2004 19.
I want to write some interesting things.
1 。 It's almost nine o'clock at night, and the sun is still shining high on the horizon.
2 。 Drinking water can be in the toilet!
3 。 My teacher Barbara wears so many rings on her finger, even one on her toe!
4 。 There are some polar campuses with metal boxes attached. They are all for students to smoke their heads.
5 。 The logo and I told the people behind us that people learned to drive Renault cars. The car marked P stands for the person who has just passed the driving test and is driving a Renault car.
6 。 Alphabetic words give signs and warnings on painted roads, such as "bus lanes", "buses and taxis", "look right, then look left", "stay awake", "don't stop" and "stand back".
7 。 Chimneys on the roofs of almost all houses.
8 。 Most bus drivers are among their 50 people. They are very polite and helpful.

Frankly speaking, I don't like computer classes anymore. Lily said in a weak voice that she always talks to herself. I wonder if she has English pronunciation. This afternoon, of course, I began to feel a serious headache for her. I am computer illiterate and feel like a complete idiot. Then on the way home, Sandra and I were in a fallen DVD shop. When I see Sandra standing outside the door out of the corner of my eye, I will watch DVD with great attention. So, without thinking much, I walked to the door. Bang! I hit my head on the window! Damian Slee is another teacher's experience and lesson. He also formulates teaching methods and introduces different teaching methods in English. The first impression he gave me was that his mother tongue was not Spanish, but he could speak Spanish. I boldly told him to do so. Luckily, he didn't kill me-he was English.
I am immersed in his experience and his interesting teaching method, which seems to be loose but very flexible. He can give full play to his inspiration, and many times I find that what I said is useless for a long time. I like the background music here. He beat us.
. I like listening to him sing familiar songs, and I hope I can sing them to him. I look forward to the class where he will write some songs and poems.
It will be fine on July 30th.
Today is sunny and I am in a good mood. Tired of studying and busy city life, I came to the ecological park to enjoy the beautiful scenery and relax in the afternoon.
When I arrived at the park, the first thing that caught my eye was the dense green trees, so the air was fresh. Besides, I could clearly see a path along the pond. Lying on the lawn decorated by various followers and looking at the blue sky, I feel very relaxed, because all I want is some peace and quiet. Everything forms a beautiful scenery. You can't imagine how romantic they are!
Anyway, time flies so fast that the sky (not the sun) is dying in the west. So I have to go home! I will never forget such an unforgettable experience, which is really indescribable!
