The Music Department of Sichuan University was founded in1998,2001national enrollment. At present, it has enrolled 5 undergraduate students in music performance and musicology, 2 graduate students in art (music culture research), and undergraduate graduates 1 person.
The Music Department has a special faculty, with full-time teachers 18, including professors 1 person, 5 associate professors, 7 lecturers and 5 teaching assistants. The academic structure of teachers is 2 doctors, 4 masters and 0/2 undergraduates.
The undergraduate teaching plan of Music Department is perfect, the teaching syllabus is complete, and there is a systematic scientific research and teaching management system and operation mechanism. The course taught by the teacher has won many outstanding teaching achievement awards. The Music Department is planned to have three teaching and research sections, namely, vocal music teaching and research section, piano teaching and research section and theory teaching and research section. The music department has a strong academic atmosphere, rich artistic practice and frequent foreign exchanges. In recent years, teachers have published many monographs on professional teaching and scientific research, and published more than 30 academic papers in authoritative journals at home and abroad. Our direction has also invited many famous experts from home and abroad to give lectures at our place, and the performances of teachers and students are often active on the stage inside and outside the school, attracting attention.
In recent years, the mode of running a school of music department has shown the characteristics of one center of gravity and three combinations. One key point is to focus on undergraduate vocal music performance and teaching; Three combinations refer to: first, the combination of music performance practice and musicology theory; Second, the combination of undergraduate education and postgraduate education; Third, the combination of teaching and scientific research.
