China Ocean University School of Foreign Languages is in Laoshan Campus. Haida has three campuses, Yushan Fushan Laoshan, and the School of Foreign Languages is in Laoshan Campus. China Ocean University School of Foreign Languages has a long history. Its predecessor was 1930 Department of Foreign Languages, College of Literature, National Qingdao University. Mr. Liang Shiqiu, a famous writer, translator and scholar in China, is the head of the department, and a large number of famous scholars and writers such as Wen Yiduo, Shen Congwen, Lao She and Hong Shen teach here. 1993, the college was renamed Foreign Languages College.
