The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University was founded in 1957. After several generations of unremitting efforts, it has developed into a modern medical department integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research and health care, which is at the leading level in the province. There are 83 fixed beds (48 in gynecology and 35 in obstetrics), with elegant and comfortable ward environment and complete supporting facilities. The department has advanced equipment such as laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, electronic colposcopy, four-dimensional color Doppler ultrasound, liquid-based thin-layer cell production machine, human papillomavirus detector, microwave therapeutic instrument, self-coagulation knife, LEEP knife, pelvic floor rehabilitation therapeutic instrument, umbilical artery blood flow monitor, fetal monitor, newborn temperature-controlled bed, blue light therapeutic instrument and multifunctional delivery bed. At present, there are 64 medical staff, 2 doctors1person, all of whom have master's degree or above, including 3 full-time senior titles, 6 associate senior titles, 4 doctoral students and 3 master's tutors. The discipline team has high academic qualifications, good professional quality and strong technical force. Gynecology has specialized treatment groups such as gynecological tumor, gynecological endocrine, gynecological minimally invasive surgery and pelvic floor reconstruction. In addition to the diagnosis and treatment of common gynecological diseases, our department has widely carried out comprehensive standardized treatment of gynecological malignant tumors in clinic, which has greatly improved the survival time and quality of life of malignant tumors and achieved good social benefits. In 2007, the Department of Gynecological Oncology was awarded as "Key Discipline of Health Department of Gansu Province". At the same time, minimally invasive gynecological endoscopic techniques have developed rapidly since 2000, and the level of endoscopic techniques has been continuously improved. In 2006, it was awarded the "National First Training Base of Gynecological Endoscopy Diagnosis and Treatment Technology" by the Ministry of Health, and undertook the training task of Gynecological Endoscopy in Northwest China. In addition to routine endoscopic surgery, our department took the lead in carrying out laparoscopic radical resection of gynecological malignant tumors in our province, and has now completed 100 cases of laparoscopic radical resection of gynecological malignant tumors. In recent years, with the improvement of women's self-care awareness and quality of life requirements, women pay more attention to pelvic floor organ prolapse. According to the current situation, the professional group of pelvic floor reconstruction in our department actively studied new techniques, and took the lead in developing new surgical procedures such as vaginal front and back wall repair, patch implantation and middle urethral suspension in the province, which greatly improved the quality of life of elderly women, especially stress urinary incontinence patients, and guided postpartum women to carry out pelvic floor rehabilitation training, and achieved good social reputation. Obstetrics has professional groups such as prenatal diagnosis and high pregnancy, and is good at prenatal diagnosis, high-risk pregnancy monitoring, pregnancy complications and complications. There are family delivery rooms, waiting rooms, delivery rooms, baby rooms and baby swimming and touching rooms, and new projects such as accompanying delivery, new cesarean section, neonatal swimming, neonatal touching and postpartum pelvic floor rehabilitation training have been carried out. In 2002, some prenatal education classes were held free of charge, such as "prospective fathers" classes. The lecture is rich in content. Based on the physiological changes of pregnant women and the growth and development of the fetus in the first trimester, we should guide prospective fathers and expectant mothers to adjust their mentality, make rational nutrition, and urge the establishment of a health care manual during pregnancy. With the development of pregnancy, we should teach the physiological changes and possible abnormalities of each pregnancy, cooperate with doctors to do self-monitoring to ensure the safe and healthy growth and development of the fetus, and achieve good social benefits. The nursing department was awarded the honorary titles of "Women's Civilized Post" and "Excellent Nursing Service Collective in Gansu Province" by the Ministry of Health and the All-China Women's Federation. Obstetrics and gynecology has a strong technical force, and all doctors have accumulated rich experience in medical treatment, teaching and scientific research. They are referral units of hospitals at all levels in Gansu Province, and undertake consultations on various difficult cases.
