Introduction of Chengde Vocational College
The college was approved by the Hebei provincial government in June 2006 and was formed by the merger of Chengde Vocational College and Chengde Tourism Vocational College. Chengde National Vocational and Technical College (renamed in July 2004) was the predecessor of the College, which was formed by the merger of Jehol Agriculture and Forestry College founded by 1950 and Chengde University founded by 1985. It is the first batch of public full-time higher vocational colleges with higher education approved by the Ministry of Education. There are 833 on-the-job teaching and administrative staff in the college, including 9 professors, 2 12 teachers with associate professors and senior lecturers, 270 teachers with intermediate titles, 67 teachers with master's and doctor's degrees, "double-qualified" teachers accounting for 38% of the total number of teachers, 6 top-notch professional and technical talents at provincial and municipal levels, and 1 person teachers enjoying government subsidies in the State Council.
