Regular study period refers to the time from the date of registration to the date of completion of the degree. Under normal circumstances, students should not graduate before the expiration of regular courses.
Special circumstances need to be approved by the Graduate Affairs Committee of the school and reported to the CUHK Academic Committee and the Academic Affairs Committee for approval. Each course is required to provide the normal study time of the course. If a course involves multiple learning cycles, the regular learning cycle should be the shortest learning cycle of the course.
The proposed duration of each course should be approved by the Graduate Affairs Committee of the university and reported to the Academic Committee and the CUHK Academic Affairs Committee. The calculation method of the regular study period and the maximum study period of part-time courses is that two-thirds of the study period of part-time courses is equal to the study period of full-time courses.
Explanation on extending the qualification of postgraduate courses in materials;
Graduated from an accredited university with a bachelor's degree and an honorary grade of not less than second class; Or graduated from an accredited university with a bachelor's degree score of not less than "B"; Or equivalent to a bachelor's degree.
Description of application qualification for research-oriented master's and doctor's bridging courses:
Graduated from an accredited university with a bachelor's degree and an honorary grade of not less than second class; Or graduated from an accredited university with a bachelor's degree score of not less than "B"; Or have completed their studies in higher education institutions and obtained professional qualifications or similar qualifications equivalent to honorary degrees.
