Five subjects are normal, but every school will not follow this rule. Usually a big make-up exam will be arranged at the end, as long as you pass it, you will be fine.

Failure in college is a situation in which the final exam results and usual results of the school are unqualified. If you fail in college, you will have a chance to make up the exam when the second semester starts. If you fail the make-up exam, you will retake the failed course.
