During the summer vacation of 20 19, he participated in the CIS scientific research project. With the scientific research experience and achievements of the project, he submitted a wonderful application and won the offer of top 10 CMU, a major in civil and environmental engineering in the United States. After successful registration, I previewed the English mechanics textbook that Professor Borja needed in the project in advance. I also read the professor's papers in recent years in detail to understand his current research direction, hoping to better grasp the opportunity to ask Professor Cristiano borja professional questions during the project.
What I learned most from the professor is that he is serious, rigorous and meticulous. I personally saw the teaching plan prepared by the professor for this project, and personally corrected the homework and papers of each of our students during the whole project. Whether it's a grammatical problem or an academic problem, the professor will annotate it in red ink. I cherish the homework that the professor corrected for me and regard it as the best gift from the professor.
The students are all very good. Some of them are still in high school, but they have a lot of knowledge and a strong sense of learning and cooperation. Therefore, a strong academic discussion atmosphere was formed in our group. It is normal for students to discuss problems during recess, and sometimes professors will join in.
What impressed me the most was the preparation of the research report in the last week, which was also the most difficult thing during the project. Because the research content is rich and complex, and the workload is huge, how to lead everyone to finish the task on time and with high quality is a great challenge for my team leader.
On the basis of carefully studying the outline of the project report and fully analyzing the strengths of all partners, I adopted the mode of division of labor and cooperation, and assigned the tasks of writing research reports and making slides to show the research results according to my personal needs.
Professor Borja gave us excellent advice on the work arrangement, and the two teaching assistants have been patiently tutoring us and accompanying us. Through the efforts of all the staff of our research group, the exhibition of our research results was successfully completed before the end of the project, which was affirmed by the professor.
So I like and enjoy CIS, an open teaching method. This teaching method helps us to deepen our understanding, digestion and absorption of what we have learned, and also lays a good foundation for the flexible use of what we have learned.
The third harvest is that I have found my future efforts and development direction. By completing the research project directed by Professor Borja, my academic level and research ability have been tempered and improved, and I like my major more. I hope I can go to a university with higher academic level for further study and expand the depth and breadth of my professional field. Try to achieve something in your studies.
