Adhering to the concept of "the doctor is sincere, the surgeon is skillful and the surgeon is wise", the hospital can not only diagnose and treat common diseases, frequently-occurring diseases and difficult diseases in time, but also make unique achievements in high-precision, sophisticated technology. In recent years, more than 300 new technologies and projects have been carried out. Liver transplantation, kidney transplantation, stem cell transplantation, amniotic membrane transplantation, coronary artery bypass grafting, interventional therapy, finger reconstruction, thumb replantation, laryngectomy and reconstruction, phacoemulsification, myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism excimer therapy have filled the gaps in southern Hunan and enjoyed a high reputation in the province. The technology of discoscopy is in the leading position in the province, and kidney transplantation has reached the leading level in China and the first-class level in the province. Up to now, the renal transplantation center has carried out more than 300 cases of renal transplantation, with a success rate of 98%. Transplant recipients are all over the country, and Malaysian patients from abroad came to Wan Li for kidney transplantation, ranking first in the fields of youngest (12 years old), lightest (25 kg), oldest (70 years old) and bearing children.

In recent years, the hospital has also purchased about 140 mu of land in Huaxin Development Zone. The surgical inpatient building was capped in February 2004, and the 2 1 floor internal medicine inpatient building and medical technology auxiliary building are currently under intensive planning, design and basic engineering construction. It is expected to open in 2006, when the hospital will open 800 beds with a construction area of 65,433.
