Located in Xicheng District, Beijing, the Central Conservatory of Music is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). It is a national "double first-class" construction university and a national "2 1 1 project" construction university. The school was established in Tianjin on 1949, and the inauguration ceremony was held in the early summer of 1950. 1952 yenching university Music Department was merged in the adjustment of national universities. 1958 moved from Tianjin to Beijing. The Central Conservatory of Music is a place that musicians at home and abroad yearn for.
