Panjin Vocational and Technical College was established with the approval of the Ministry of Education on June 2nd, 1998. It is the first comprehensive local vocational college named "Vocational and Technical College" in Liaoning Province, covering nine categories and multiple disciplines such as petrochemical industry, medical care and agricultural technology. The history of running a school can be traced back to 1970, which is the predecessor of Panjin Normal School.
By March 2022, the school had a total area of 290,000 square meters, a building area of10.6 million square meters and a collection of 610.2 million books. There are more than 9,300 full-time students, more than 2,200 adult education students and 525 faculty members, including 4 1.6 full-time teachers. The school has 9 secondary colleges, offering 26 full-time higher vocational colleges.
Liaohe Petroleum Vocational and Technical College, formerly known as "Liaohe Petroleum School" approved by the Ministry of Petroleum Industry 1978, is one of the earliest petroleum vocational colleges in Northeast China. In June 2006, Liaohe Petroleum School was upgraded to Liaohe Petroleum Vocational and Technical College, which is a higher vocational college affiliated to state-owned enterprises.
It covers an area of 5 17 mu, of which the construction area of office building, teaching building, training building and ancillary facilities is nearly 654,380+0.5 million square meters. The school has well-equipped learning and living facilities, including large-scale comprehensive training building, library, college students' cultural and sports activity center and college students' quality development training base.
