The School of Electrical Engineering of Dalian University of Technology, formerly known as the Department of Electromagnetic Engineering, was founded in 199 1. The Institute of Electronic Science and Technology of China has a complete senior talent training system from undergraduate to postdoctoral. Institute of semiconductor technology
On March 27, 2007, Dalian Municipal People's Government, Dalian University of Technology and Intel Corporation signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation, which will jointly build the Institute of Semiconductor Technology and turn it into a national semiconductor technology talent training and scientific research base. Intel Corporation donated 8-inch IC chip production equipment with the original value of 44 million dollars, and Dalian Municipal Government and Dalian University of Technology invested 85 million yuan to build an ultra-clean laboratory, forming an integrated circuit teaching and research platform with world-class infrastructure. This is the first training base for semiconductor technicians invested by Intel in a large scale in the world. The construction of Dalian Semiconductor Vocational and Technical College has been strongly supported by the Ministry of Education. The School of Information and Communication Engineering of Dalian University of Technology was formerly the Department of Telecommunications of Dalian University of Technology. Computer major of Dalian University of Technology was founded in 1974, 198 1 and developed into the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
