It was selected into Hunan 20 1 1 Plan, the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" application-oriented undergraduate integration development project, and the domestic first-class discipline construction university in Hunan Province. As of March 20 19, the school library has collected more than 940,000 volumes of paper books and 945 kinds of Chinese and foreign periodicals. It has more than 3.29 million Chinese and foreign e-books such as OFB, You Yue, EBSCO, Superstar, Reading Show, Imaginary Star and Golden Map, and more than 243,000 Chinese and foreign e-journals.

It has 29 databases, including China HowNet database, Elsevier SD database, academic search of reading show, statistics of national research network, special report and full-text database, EPS statistical data and economic prediction platform, New Oriental multimedia resource learning database, global English multimedia resource database, starting point independent examination learning system, global college students' innovation and employment database, and 24 * * resources of Hunan University Digital Library. Self-built electronic periodicals such as educational information, information collection of economic management literature, subject information navigation and foreign language resource recommendation are members of Hunan University Digital Library.

The literature collection highlights the characteristics of business, and the collection scope is mainly economic management, taking into account the literature of science, engineering, literature and law, of which economic management books account for 32%, and there is a commercial economist forest library.
