1. University daily life and courses

Every class in the university is a new class, and almost every class has a class. Only in the middle of the semester or at the end of the semester, some classes will have exercises, some classes will have midterm exams, and some will not. The final exam is taken at most once a day. If there are many classes, there may be exams every day for a week, so that time is called exam week. At the beginning of the semester, there is an English grading exam. According to this score, our school divides students into 1234 grade, 1 grade has four semesters of English classes, grade 2 has three grades, and so on, except for classes that fail. Try to get good grades in the exam. Although most college English teachers speak English, the words they use are relatively simple, and there is no problem of not understanding them. If there are more classes, it will be much worse to have one more class each semester. If the teacher is strict, it is equivalent to an extra professional class. And if your English is not very good and your grades are not high, it will also lower your overall GPA. The more semesters you take, the more you play.
After 60 points, you will fail this course and have to retake it in other semesters. In fact, it is not easy to fail in college, because teachers will try their best to keep you from failing, and give you all the points they can, because the failure rate of teachers' classes has an impact on themselves, and this space is very large, so only those who fail are those with particularly low scores, so there is no way.
Some teachers will call the roll in class, and some teachers never call the roll, but just hang up classes for n times (different schools may be different, we are three times). If they don't go, they will deduct the final grade. When choosing a course, you can ask the senior teacher who teaches well, and which teacher doesn't call the roll.
Compulsory courses must be taken, giving you a bunch of elective courses. You can choose the courses you are interested in and complete a certain amount in four years.
Personally, I think college textbooks are much better than high school textbooks. Basically, what teachers say is from books, and some teachers just recite from the book, so it is completely feasible to learn by reading, that is, when you can fully understand books. If not, it is better to listen to the teacher's class and whether you can do the exercises at the end of the book.

Before I went to college, I heard that there were no fixed seats in college classes and I needed to grab seats. Some people say that there are many university canteens, reaching twenty or thirty. This may be true. There are more than a dozen restaurants in both campuses of Xiamen University. But you should know that so many canteens mean a large school area, and the scope of your regular activities is a small area. Generally, several colleges will be concentrated in one area, so there are only two or three canteens near you. You only go to the one you often go to, the one you pass by or the one you like to eat best. The dishes in our canteen are not exactly the same, and some are completely different. Personally, I am satisfied with the food in the canteen. And the food in the canteen is much cheaper than outside.

1) Read more. When I first arrived in the dormitory, I saw some books related to my major on my roommate's bookshelf. When I thought that my holiday wave had passed, I suddenly felt a lot of pressure. In fact, reading those books in advance has little effect on my freshman year, so there is no need to feel pressured. Academic performance should have little to do with the books you read after class, but reading more books in this major will definitely help you in the future.
Not only should you read more professional books, but you should also read books that are of interest to other aspects. It's just that I seldom read books before I went to college, so when I went to college, I felt that I didn't know anything, had a low view of things and had a low expression ability. If you don't have the habit of reading, I suggest you go to the library to find your favorite part. You will find that your desire to read soars in an instant, and you will feel that you want to read them all. Unfortunately, there is not enough time for you to take the first step. At least I did, and I might want to see something I didn't like.
You can learn more about other majors during your college years, and have a certain understanding of all walks of life, which is good for the future. Reading is a systematic study, and knowledge is more deeply rooted. Although I can learn a lot of useful knowledge from watching Zhihu, I only have a little knowledge and soon forget it, especially when I brush aimlessly, but it is still very helpful to find the answer and make a purposeful comparison and summary.
