Harvard University was founded in 1636. It was first founded by the colonial legislature in Massachusetts, and was originally named "New Citizen College". To commemorate the generous support given by Pastor john harvard in the early days of the college, the school was renamed "Harvard College" 1639 in March. 1780, Harvard College was officially renamed as "Harvard University".

It is a private research university and a member of the Global Forum of University Presidents. The school has only about 2000 students, 300 professors and more than 600 researchers.

Cambridge University (Cambridge University; Title: Cantab), located in Cambridgeshire, England, is a public research university with a traditional college system. The school is a member of Russell University Group and the Global Forum of University Presidents, and is known as one of the Golden Triangle and G5 prestigious schools. Cambridge University is the second oldest university in the English-speaking world. Its predecessor was an association of scholars founded in 1209.
