22. The History and Present Situation of Lu Xun Studies in China won the Outstanding Achievement Award of Humanities and Social Sciences Research in Beijing Normal University in May 2002.

23. In September 2002, Tragic Consciousness and Tragic Spirit was selected as Selected Works of Social Sciences in Jiangsu Province and won the first prize.

24. Western Discourse and Modern and Contemporary Culture in China won the Excellent Thesis Award of Guangdong Propaganda Department in April 2005 and the 2004 Scientific Research Achievement Award of Shantou University in March 2005. Since he was hired as a tenured professor of Shantou University in 2003, he has put forward the modern academic concept of "New Chinese Studies", which has aroused strong repercussions at home and abroad. As the director of the New Sinology Research Center of Shantou University, he was responsible for editing the Collection of New Sinology Research. The main published academic papers are as follows:
