The School of Pharmacy of Shandong University is still very strong, formerly known as cheeloo university College of Pharmacy, and it is one of the earliest higher pharmacy majors established in China. Later, it gradually evolved into the Department of Pharmacy and College of Pharmacy of Shandong Medical University, which is a national key medical university directly under the Ministry of Health. Later, it became the School of Pharmacy of Shandong University. At present, there are key laboratories of the Ministry of Education, national key disciplines (training), provincial key disciplines, post-doctoral research stations of pharmacy and doctoral degree awarding points of first-class disciplines of pharmacy, and there are ten master's degree awarding points in two disciplines, including medicinal chemistry, pharmacy, pharmacognosy, pharmaceutical analysis, microbiology and biochemical pharmacy, pharmacology, natural medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical engineering, clinical pharmacy and immunology. It has professional degree authorization points such as doctor of engineering in biomedical field, master of engineering in pharmaceutical engineering field and master of pharmacy. The overall strength is relatively high in China.
