Historical evolution of Ninghai Taoyuan Academy;
1. During the Qing Dynasty in the Northern Song Dynasty, Zoroastrianism, which was also known as the "Four Masters of Ming Dynasty", was founded as the first to give lectures. Among them, Wang said that the Taoyuan Academy, which he founded in the ninth year of Song Xining (1076), was transformed from what Wang called the homestead "Zhuogutang". Wang Xun, the grandson of Wang, wrote a letter to him after he was admitted to the imperial examination and was awarded the title of "Taoyuan Academy". After the completion of the academy, he taught students in the surrounding villages for thirty or forty years.
2. At the end of Yuan Dynasty, Zhang Wenhai, a rural Confucian scholar, wrote to the local officials to rebuild the academy. After that, Zhang Wenhai was demoted and the academy gradually declined. In the Qing Dynasty, Wang Zu wrote Notes of Taoyuan Academy in Song Shenzong. Taoyuan Academy was once the gathering place of scholars in eastern Zhejiang in Song Dynasty, and it was also the highest institution of learning at that time. Academies have trained many talents for Zhejiang, and Emperor Wen of Sui, a descendant of Lu Jiuyuan, a famous philosopher and educator in the Southern Song Dynasty, gave lectures here, creating the Cihu School. In the early years of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty, the academy was destroyed by fire and was requisitioned as a government inspection institute.
College reconstruction:
1. According to the data verified by Fu Lao from the Records of Yinxian County, the former site of Taoyuan Academy is Wulinglin Village, 35 miles west of Yinxian County, and now it belongs to Simingshan Resort in Yinzhou District. In 2009, Yinzhou District decided to rebuild the college on the original site.
2. Fu Xuancong, a famous scholar in Yong, saw many clues about "Taoyuan Academy" in his years of academic research. With his innate hometown complex, he made a comprehensive investigation of Taoyuan Academy from a historical perspective. Fu Lao also sent a letter to the main leaders of Yinzhou District Committee, hoping to restore Taoyuan Academy, and said that he would do his best to establish a learning base for Chinese studies classes in Tsinghua and Peking University, and invite famous scholars and masters of Chinese studies to give lectures at the Academy.
3. The renovation project of Taoyuan Academy will start on 20 15 1 1 and be completed two years later. The completed Taoyuan Academy will cover an area of 6,543,800 square meters. The main buildings include Gu Zhuo Hall, the core building of the Academy, Ming Dow Zhai, Jing Xun Pavilion and Ji Weixuan in Song and Song styles, and Xiangyi Academy as the library and reading place of the Academy. After the reconstruction of the academy, it will undertake cultural activities such as giving lectures, collecting books and studying classics. With the support from all walks of life, Weng Guowei, chairman of Siming Mountain Residence in Tianma, Ningbo, raised more than 25 million yuan to rebuild the quaint Taoyuan Academy-Zhuogutang on the top of Siming Mountain Residence.
3. Today, Taoyuan Academy is committed to the internal function construction, inviting Gong Pengcheng, a master of Chinese studies, and his team to join in the reconstruction of the Academy, gradually restoring its functions of giving lectures and collecting books, and making contributions to the local traditional culture of Ningbo and the historical research of eastern Zhejiang. Chen Yijun, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and secretary of Yinzhou District Committee, attended the unveiling ceremony. Li Wenliang, Feng Jicai, Chen Zhi, Wang Shouchang, Guangwu, Wang Guohua and other experts and scholars were hired as advisory committee members, who will make suggestions for the future cultural development of the college and Taoyuan Academy.
