College of Modern Science and Technology of Taiyuan University of Technology is located in xiaoyi city, Shanxi Province, referred to as PITUT. Approved by the Ministry of Education and Shanxi Provincial People's Government, Taiyuan University of Technology and xiaoyi city Municipal People's Government jointly established an independent college to carry out undergraduate education. Based on the key construction of dominant majors and guided by social needs, the school currently offers 38 undergraduate majors and 60 majors, covering 7 disciplines including engineering, science, literature, law, economics, management and education. As of May 20 13, there are 8 full-time teachers in the school, including 3 18 associate professors and above, 287 lecturers and 62/kloc-0 doctors and masters. The school has 15 departments, 2 departments and 13638 students. The school is located in the south bank of xiaoyi city Shengxihu Wetland Park, with a planned total area of 1.500 mu and a total construction area of 600,000 square meters.
