China News Service, Jinan, August 14-Aaron Drake, a world-renowned cryomedical expert, announced in Jinan on August 14 that he had performed whole-body cryosurgery for the second cryosurgery applicant in China. This is also the first cryopreservation operation in China.
The applicant for cryopreservation is a 49-year-old woman with lung cancer named Zhan Wenlian. Cryopreservation was jointly completed by Shandong Yinfeng Institute of Life Sciences and Qilu Hospital of Shandong University. 20 17 started at around 4: 00 am on May 8, and lasted about 60 hours.
Second, the attitude of the parties.
According to Zhan Wenlian's husband, choosing cryopreservation is an understanding he reached with his wife. Zhan Wenlian was keen on public welfare before his death and hoped to donate his body for scientific research after his death. The couple think that cryopreservation is a meaningful medical exploration and research. Gui Junmin said that he and his family have hope for the progress of medical technology. If one day a medical expert finds the technology to conquer lung cancer and other tumor diseases, I hope his wife can be resurrected and cured smoothly.
Third, the surgical procedure.
Within 2 minutes after Zhan Wenlian's attending doctor announced her clinical death according to legal procedures, clinical coping experts quickly injected her with anticoagulant, antioxidant and other drugs, and carried out physical cooling and cardiopulmonary support equipment to maintain her physiological function. Subsequently, Zhan Wenlian was quickly transported by a special ambulance to the Cryogenic Medicine Research Center of Shandong Yinfeng Institute of Life Sciences for perfusion replacement surgery. After the operation, Zhan Wenlian's body was transferred to a large-span automatic programmed cooling device and began to cool down deeply. After dozens of hours, the temperature inside and outside the body is stable below minus 190℃.
On the evening of May, 2065438 17, Zhan Wenlian's body was successfully transferred to a special liquid nitrogen container filled with liquid nitrogen, which can be kept stable at-196℃.
Fourth, other circumstances.
Alan Drake is a world-renowned expert in cryomedicine. In 2009, he was hired as the director of the clinical response center by the world's largest human body preservation institution, and participated in more than 70 human body preservation operations in 7 years. Alan Drake and his team performed brain cryosurgery on Du Hong, the first cryopreservation applicant in China and a Chongqing woman writer, in May, 20 15.
Cryopreservation is a scientific way to seek new treatment of diseases by blocking the death of patients. Some people think that although the current medical technology can't cure the "incurable disease", relying on the current technology to preserve the body may cure the disease in the future, so the cryopreservation of the human body has become a way for people to wait for the cure of cancer.
