There are no 985 universities in Henan Province, only 2 1 1 universities, namely Zhengzhou University. It is the only national "2 1 1 Project" key construction university in Henan Province, which is jointly built by the People's Government of Henan Province and the Ministry of Education.

Brief introduction of Zhengzhou University:

1. The new Zhengzhou University was formed by the merger of Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou University of Technology and Henan Medical University on July 6, 2000. It is a comprehensive university covering science, engineering, medicine, literature, history, philosophy, law, economics, management, teaching, agriculture, arts and other disciplines 12.

2. There are 46 departments in the school headquarters, with 1 14 undergraduate majors. At present, the school has four national-level teaching teams, six national-level teaching masters, six national-level specialty comprehensive reform pilot majors, 14 national-level specialty,1/international engineering education certification specialty, five national-level experimental teaching demonstration centers and seven national-level engineering practice education centers.

3. Zhengzhou University has 14 national-level excellent resources, 2 national-level bilingual teaching demonstration courses, 2 national-level excellent online open courses, 2 national-level innovative experimental areas for talent training mode, 1 national basic scientific research and teaching talent training bases, 1 national cultural quality education bases for college students, and 2 national-level off-campus practical education bases, which have achieved national-level teaching.
