Shanxi Media College was formerly the North China Radio and Television School established by the former Ministry of Radio and Television 1983. 1990 Approved by the Ministry of Education, the Management Cadre College of the Ministry of Radio, Film and Television was established on the basis of North China Radio and Television School.
On April 20 13, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Shanxi Media College was established on this basis. It is a specialized college for training talents in journalism, public opinion and media, and also a training base for cadres of the State Administration of Radio and Television.
The school has 10 secondary departments, including Animation College, Broadcasting and Hosting College, School of Journalism and Communication, Photography Department, Art Design Department, Director Department, Media Management Department (Media Engineering Department), Recording Department, Advertising Department and Performance Department, and 4 teaching departments, including Ideological and Political Department, Foreign Languages Department, Sports Department, Continuing Education Department, Film and Television Production Center and Performance Department.
The school enrolls students from 3 1 provinces nationwide, and currently there are 9 180 full-time students. Graduates are distributed in the central radio and television general station, local radio and television institutions, animation creative institutions, networks and new media and other related units. Most of them have become the backbone of the business in the field of radio and television media and have been well received by employers.
